The Ecological Footprint of Slovenia

Slovenia faces the challenge of an excessive ecological footprint – a key indicator that measures the impact of human activity on the environment. Our task was to create a thoughtful communication system that translates scientific data into clear, accessible, and visually engaging content for both expert and general audiences.
  
For the Slovenian Environment Agency (ARSO), we developed a comprehensive campaign that included a website, publication, and a series of posts and ads on social media platforms such as LinkedIn and X.
  
The design approach was content-driven, with clear infographics, interactive maps, and animated visuals that help users quickly grasp key data and understand its broader sustainability implications. All materials were created in line with digital accessibility legislation, making the project more inclusive and user-oriented.
  
The brochure’s content is expanded online through dynamic data visualisations, while digital formats are also adapted for the visually impaired.
  
This project represents a modern approach to environmental communication – a coherent and user- centred system that brings complex science closer to the public and invites reflection on our environmental choices.
