Slovenian Environment Agency

The concept of planetary boundaries defines the limits of key Earth system processes that humanity must not exceed. It stems from in-depth scientific research that highlights the fragility of our planet – and this complex theme was the starting point for our design challenge.

For the Slovenian Environment Agency (ARSO), we developed a comprehensive communication system: a publication, website, and social media content that translate scientific findings into a clear, accessible, and visually structured experience.

The visual identity is based on a clean, content-focused design. A colour palette in shades of blue and green, combined with a precise icon system, ensures thematic clarity and intuitive navigation. In the publication, infographics and illustrations do more than decorate – they carry meaning. On the website, the content is enhanced through animations and interactive graphics that deepen the
understanding of key indicators and comparisons.

With a thoughtfully crafted social media campaign across channels where public opinion is shaped today, we brought the message closer to a wider audience and encouraged reflection.

The Planetary Boundaries project establishes an effective bridge between science and the public – a testament that even the most complex insights can be communicated with clarity, empathy, and visual
strength. A story that lives beyond publication.
